Arianna Huffington
Arianna Stassinopoulos Huffington resides in the United States and is a writer from Greece, a syndicated columnist as well as a businesswoman. She was a co-founder of The Huffington Post the founder and chief executive officer of Thrive Global and the author of fifteen books. Arianna Huffington works as an author, philanthropist, television host, and owner of The Huffington Post. She moved out of Greece to England aged 16 where she earned an MA at Cambridge University in Economics. In her 21st year, she was president of the renowned debate society The Cambridge Union' and was the first foreign born student to do so. As a conservative syndicated blogger following her graduation, she went on to become the voice of Huffington Post. Her fame has helped attract a number of famous contributors. Arianna became famous when she ran in California's recall vote, to succeed Governor Davis. She also headed an Detroit automobile project that was fuel efficient. In 2009 she was named by Forbes as The most influential women in media gaining 12th position in the list. The same year the Guardian named her to the top 100 list of media. AOL bought The Huffington Post from AOL in the year 2011. Then she was appointed the president of the AOL media group. It included a number of AOL-owned brands, including Engadget AOL Style List and Patch Media. Elli was born to Konstantinos Stasinopoulos as well as Elli and Konstantinos Stasinopoulos, who both are journalist and management consultants. They were very close to her father. But it was her bond with her mother who formed her. Even as a young girl she displayed leadership qualities that she's still known for. At the age of 16 the girl moved to England in the United Kingdom for her higher education. She attended Girton College Cambridge. While in college and was in Cambridge Union, she joined the college debating societies which she later became the first female and foreign president. In 1972, she graduated with the degree of Master in Economics. She was a journalist, a TV host and a columnist after her graduation. She appeared alongside Bernard Levin on an edition Face the music, and she started writing her own books with his assistance.
