Harry Edward Styles, known to the world of music as Harry Styles, is a British composer and performer who is regarded as one of the members of the band One Direction. Born in Holmes Chapel (Cheshire), England the 1st of February, 1994. He is the son of Des Styles, and Anne Cox. Harry Styles went to the Holmes Chapel Comprehensive School, together with his fellow classmates, formed a musical group called White Eskimo. They participated in the Battle of Bands where thanks to their outstanding performances, they took home the trophy. Although he has been a fan of music, he also wanted to be the next lawyer or an physiotherapist. To support the needs of his children, he took some time at a bakery. In the year 2010, Harry Styles presented audition for The X Factor where he did the track Is not She Lovely by Stevie Wonder and was selected. This was the reason the band split up. After the audition in The X Factor the jury Nicole Scherzinger suggested that Harry Styles be part of a future band that would be named One Direction along with Liam Payne Zayn Malik Niall Horan and Louis Tomlinson. Simon Cowell sponsored five teenagers to create the group in 2010. They performed tracks such as My Life Would Suffer Without You which was written by Kelly Clarkson, and Total Eclipse of the Heart, by Bonnie Tyler during the competition. They were one of the candidates to win the award. They came third behind Rebecca Ferguson. Harry Styles did not receive an award, but Cowell offered a 2-million-pound deal for One Direction in order for the group to join Syco Records.
