Lucy Liu (born Lucy Liu) is an American voice actor, director producer and vocalist. In addition to being a beautiful and intelligent actress, Lucy Liu serves as a role-model for several Asian actors in Hollywood who want to succeed. Her fame was boosted by several popular roles in shows. The most notable was The Ally McBeal series, where she portrayed Ling Woo the villainous character. She translated her unexpected success into big screen roles in movies including Shanghai Noon and Charlie's Angels. Then, she gave an her best acting performance on Quentin Tarantino Kill Bill Volume 1 as Japanese crime lord O Ren Ishii. In the meantime her role as an actress in the flops that were box-office hits like Rise: Blood Hunter were also prominent. Then, she was able to sing prominent characters for animation films such as Kung Fu Panda. Mia Mason's role on the small screen on Cashmere Mafia did not produce anything of note. An appearance in the critically acclaimed police drama series Southland allowed her to regain her status as an actress of note. Liu picks her roles with care so as to avoid being typecast in a competitive industry. Although she is very proud of her ethnicity, she does not let the fact that she is from China limit her creative abilities.
